HISTORY & EXPERIENCE – Family Owned For Over 65 Years!

Reed Truck Services has over 65 years experience as a family owned & operated business in the commercial truck industry. In 1959, Ed Reed founded a repair shop named Ed’s Equipment Service focusing on the sales and service of International Trucks and other commercial trucks. As the company grew, Ed built a new facility in 1966 with his brother, Frank, as the Service Manager. In 1981, Frank’s son, Scott, began helping at the dealership washing trucks, sweeping floors and taking on a variety of duties. After gaining expertise in all aspects, Scott purchased the company in 1993 and renamed it S.G. Reed Truck Services, Inc. Scott’s brother, Jeff, joined the team as Service Manager in 2000. With their knowledge, strong customer service and quality trucks, Scott and his team expanded to meet their customers’ needs, opening a new facility in 2013 at their current location in Newport, NH.

Reed Truck Services is an authorized International Truck and Cummins engine dealer. Their experienced staff offers sales, repairs, warranty service and truck parts. In addition to new International trucks, they sell and service used commercial trucks of all makes and models. Their Parts Department stocks 1,000’s of truck parts and provides daily deliveries. Their Service Department performs expert commercial truck repairs, warranty service for International trucks and installs International truck parts. They have a large fleet of service trucks to provide 24/7 emergency service and roadside repairs in VT and NH with towing available anywhere in the Northeast.
